Terms of Service
Short version: be an adult, be honest, be kind, don't scam anyone, and we'll treat you the same.
Last updated: April 24, 2026
These are early-access terms. A fuller, counsel-reviewed version will apply once Leftovers opens to paying members. By using the site now, you agree to what follows.
Who can use Leftovers
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be legally allowed to date and form relationships where you live.
- You must not be a registered sex offender, and you must not be prohibited from using dating services by a court order.
- One account per person. No operating on behalf of someone else.
Your account
- Use real information. Your first name, photos, and birth date should all be you. Catfishing is grounds for removal.
- Keep your login credentials to yourself. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from settings. We don’t bury the button. One click to cancel, one more to confirm.
How you use Leftovers
The things that get someone suspended or banned, in the order we see them most:
- Harassment, hate, or threats. No racial, religious, homophobic, transphobic, antisemitic, Islamophobic, misogynist, or ableist abuse. No threats of violence.
- Scams or fraud. Asking matches for money, gift cards, crypto, or investment opportunities. Pretending to be someone you aren’t. Sending phishing links.
- Sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance. Reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
- Unsolicited explicit content. Don’t send it. Don’t post it in prompts or photos.
- Off-platform solicitation. No running dating sites, political campaigns, MLMs, or businesses through Leftovers messages. A personal invitation to a protest you’re attending is fine; a mass pitch is not.
- Impersonation. No impersonating a celebrity, a real person, a brand, or another member.
- Weapons, self-harm, illegal activity. Photos showing firearms, content promoting self-harm, and solicitation of illegal activity all get removed.
If you break any of these, depending on severity we’ll warn you, remove the content, suspend you, or ban you and refer the matter to law enforcement.
Subscriptions and billing
- Leftovers has a free tier and one paid tier. Paid is around $25/month or $19/month if billed annually — exact price shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime from settings. When you cancel, you keep paid features through the end of the billing period, and we won’t bill you again.
- Refunds are handled case-by-case and usually yes — if something went wrong, email us at hello@leftovers.love.
Your content
You own your profile, photos, and messages. By posting them to Leftovers, you grant us a limited license to display them to other members within the service (obviously) and to store copies as long as you have an account. Delete your account and we delete your content, except where we’re required to keep something for safety or legal reasons.
What Leftovers does and doesn’t guarantee
We verify photos and we screen for scams, but we can’t perfectly predict who anyone will turn out to be in person. Dating involves risk. Use common sense. Read our Safety guide — especially if you’re new to online dating.
Leftovers is provided “as is.” We try hard, things sometimes break, and to the extent the law permits we disclaim warranties beyond what we explicitly promise you in writing.
Termination
You can leave any time. We can end or suspend your account if you violate these terms or if keeping you on the service would put other members at risk. When we end an account, we explain why in writing, unless the law prevents us from saying so.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us first — we’d much rather talk it out. If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, and to the extent allowed by law, disputes will be resolved through individual arbitration rather than in court. We’ll detail this further in the launch-time version of these terms. You always retain your right to file small-claims complaints locally.
Changes
When we change anything that affects your rights or what we can do with your information, we’ll email you before the change takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it; if you don’t, you can close your account.
